Bezdikian Architects, an engineering and architectural firm, was founded in Venice, in 1980 by Robert M. Bezdikian. Specialized in the fields of Planning and Execution of hotels, open-air vacation resorts and holiday villages, the firm has established a reputable standing in the world of resorts and hotels design.
Because of its location near the lagoon of Venice and its resort area, it was created with the particular objective to study and analyse the interactions between architecture and tourism. The objective was to offer a professional response to the important growth of this sector in our geographic area, which in the early eighties did not have a paradigm for architectural and urbanism project and planning.
Since its inception, Bezdikian Architects predominantly in the tourism sector: hotels and tourism residence. It has namely acquired a particular experience in the design and project of new tourism villages and hotels as well as the renovation of existing ones.
The first years of operation till the eighties, include projects of two holiday villages in Cavallino, Venice, a sea resort in the Gulf of Aqaba, Kingdom of Jordan, a touristic and residential complex in Lio Grando on the lagoon of Venice, a Hotel in Sardinia and renovation of several hotels in Jesolo and on the North Venetian coast.
In the nineties till the beginning of the millennium, the studio has developed several projects in new fields of resorts, holiday villages, sport centres, aquatic parks, in the province of Venice as well as other province of south of Italy.
More recently, projects are under design in Italy, Venice, Jesolo and in Bibione, two holiday villages and resorts on Garda Lake near Verona, the preliminary project for a hotel in Yerevan, and the Master Plan for three existing Resorts and holiday villages in Croatia in the regions of Istria and Dalmatia.
